Leading Economic Indicators Continue to Climb

Leading Economic Index rose 0.4 percent in April. It was the sixth straight month the composite index has shown a gain.
The measure, which measures 10 key metrics of economic movement is used to forecast global economic trends and take an overall check on the U.S. economy. Analysts see the continued uptrend in the data as suggesting solid growth should continue in the second half of 2018.
