Majority of Americans Are Optimistic About Their Finances
February 19, 2019
When it comes to their finances, Americans feel things are getting better. A recent Gallup poll shows that about half of Americans feel they are better off now than they were a year ago. This compares to just 26 percent who feel they are worse off. This is the first time since 2007 that at least half of Americans are positive about the current state of their finances.
While this is good news for those looking back, when looking to the future, Americans feel even better about their financial prospects. 7 in 10 Americans feel that they will be better off a year from now. That is the highest level of optimism in 16 years.
