Middle-Class Families Feel Less Optimistic about Their Finances
July 12, 2019
The first half of the year has Middle-Class Americans feeling less sure about their economic prospects. In a new survey from CUNA Mutual Group, middle-class Americans rated their economic prospects a “C.” This is down from the “B-“ they rated themselves when the survey was conducted last fall.
The major cause for concern was the fear of an impending recession. The survey’s finding noted that as Americans keep hearing about the longest economic expansion in history, they are anxious about how and when it will end.
