U.S. Manufacturing Jumps Again

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) said on Monday its index of factory activity rose to a reading of 60.2 in June, up from 58.7 in May. Historically, a reading above 50 in the index indicates an expansion in manufacturing. Manufacturing is responsible for nearly 12 percent of the U.S. economy.
