Small Business Optimism Hits Highest Level Ever

In a survey conducted by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), optimism for U.S. small businesses surged. The august reading of the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index saw the highest levels in the survey’s 45-year history. The index jumped to 108.8 for the month, beating the previous record of 108 set in 1983. This was up from July’s reading of 107.9
The NFIB also noted record readings for job creation and business expansion.
